About this artwork
I created this work with passion and intensity, drawing on the mystery of existence. Expressionist brushstrokes blend with surrealist elements to explore reality beyond common perception through evanescent hues, offering a connection between dream world and history in a fanned-out playing card display, perhaps an invitation to reshuffle them. The hypnotic gaze of a mysterious woman's face emerges as if from a dream from the shadow of the bronze equestrian… sculpture commemorating Cosimo I de' Medici, like a trace of the past that continues to extend to us. Every detail invites the viewer on a metaphysical journey, prompting reflections on the boundaries between dream and reality. Its energy will transform the living space, initiating a continuous and fascinating dialogue with the unconscious.
The work, including frame, measures 75 cm wide, 95 cm high and 3.5 cm deep.
« 'Beauty will save the world' by Dostoevsky is a symbolic phrase for me because of the therapeutic, magical, and mysterious content inherent in the logic of art. »
