About this artwork
I created a work that combines metallic gold as a background, creating a bright and enveloping base. The central figure is a woman, painted with a mixed technique of spatula and acrylic, which gives depth and texture to the painting. Her expression is intense, her gaze penetrating, almost hypnotic, capable of transmitting a strong emotion. The gold in the background is not just a color, but a sort of aura that amplifies its presence, while the spatula… technique enriches everything with a materiality that seems to give life to the painting. It is a work that invites the viewer to stop, to observe, to feel the bond that arises between the figure and the material that surrounds it.
Born in Salerno, a city kissed by the sun and the sea, I undertook artistic studies with a particular focus on archaeological restoration. Growing up in a family of artists, I had the privilege of being immersed in the artistic environment from a very young age. In 2005, I moved to Assisi, where I had the opportunity to meet the maestro Elvio Marchionni, expert in the art of materials and in the use of ancient plaster techniques. Through the representation of female faces, I try to capture the intensity and complexity of human emotions, transforming internal experiences into vibrant shapes and colors. The color palette I use is imbued with vitality and energy, with a range of colors that evoke intense and vivid emotions. Colors become the language with which to express the nuances of the soul, transforming the canvas into an emotional landscape in constant evolution.
