About this artwork
7 Squares is a bronze sculpture conceived by Paolo Grassi as part of the conceptual project From "0" to Infinity. The work is composed of seven squares arranged in progressive sequence, each engraved with a unique and unrepeatable numerical figure, an integral part of the artist's great numerical narrative.
The essential geometry of the squares is enhanced by the visual rhythm given by their placement, creating a play of balances and tensions between… empty and full. The number thus becomes not only an identifying sign, but a compositional principle, linking each element to the whole as in a score.
Bronze gives solidity and prestige, while the modular form suggests infinite readings: order, multiplication, growth. 7 Squares is a work that combines minimalism, concept and material strength, designed for modern environments in search of meaning and precision.

Paolo Grassi is a Swiss conceptual artist, author of the project “From '0' to Infinity”, which since 2007 has explored the language of numbers as an art form.
Each work is a unique and unrepeatable “Element”, part of an infinite narrative made of different materials, techniques and meanings.
The artist considers his research as a “hymn to the energy of numbers and their ability to generate invisible connections between people”.
His works range from sculpture to painting, from performance to installation.
“I seek the balance between order and chaos, between mathematical rationality and creative impulse,” says Grassi, for whom “even a single fragment can contain the entire universe.” Over 285 works already created are now distributed in public and private collections.
Each new creation is an invitation to reflect on time, identity and infinity.
