About this artwork
Semi-abstract painting with contrasting colors that change depending on the light and viewing angle.
A touch of impressionism, however, and plants bursting forth against a dark background to accentuate the vibrant colors of autumn.
For added dynamism, it is worked with a knife and a stiff brush to accentuate the thickness and brushstrokes.
It looks fantastic on both a black wall (my preference) and a white wall.
Treated with two coats of protective… anti-UV varnish.

Pascal Macé, self-taught captivated by colors, mainly uses acrylic and various mixed techniques in his works. Favoring the knife and varying the effects of relief, his art mixes the abstract and the contemporary, sometimes on large canvases. His living works, with changing reflections, seek to evoke a powerful communion with nature, particularly water, emanating an atmosphere full of strength and emotion.
