About this artwork
In this new homage to Matisse, PatMoli offers his model airy breathing which allows him to break with gravity. It is a tribute to life, surrounded by its multicolored philosophical thoughts such as: "The secret of happiness and the height of art is to live like everyone else while being like no one." Simone, de Beauvoir …. And: “Imagination is more important than knowledge”. Albert Einstein.
His "cartridges" which frame the canvas like a film strip… are one of the artist's signatures. And we get lost in different settings that surround the pensive and dreaming character. 2 plexiglass sculptures of frog women are integrated into the relief painting.
