About this artwork
This painting is a vivid journey, blending the raw beauty of nature with a tapestry of emotional brushstrokes. Crafted with oil, it captures the essence of a landscape in the waltz of light and color, where impressionism meets semi-abstraction. Each hue sings of the earth's warmth and the sky's boundless story. In your home, it will resonate with an enlivening pulse, turning walls into windows of serenity and inspiration. This was the view from where… we were staying on holiday in Kal Ken, Turkey. I couldn't believe my luck what a fantastic view, especially the little islands which seemed to be bobbing about in the sea, in the far distance. So I positioned myself and in the comfort of the garden and captured this magical view. The sun was shining making the trees shimmer in the glare and the blue of the sea seam brighter. I made several water colour sketches and pastel sketches to start with. And took reference photos and completed the painting on returning home. It is ready to hang .
