About this artwork
This piece was the beginning of a transition piece where I began thinking about painting differently. Walk the Way is a set of channels that mirror one another from left to right. I over laid two interlocking shapes, one in light values and the other dark values. In a way this truly is a one of a kind in terms of design/presentation. Enjoy.

Patrick Schmidt is an artist based in the United States whose paintings have been featured in solo exhibitions nationally and in Italy. Principally inspired by Op art, he believes that color changes our moods and that colors and patterns alter our identities. Schmidt describes his vivid works as hard-edge color fields with a digital sensibility that explores the language of geometric abstraction.
