In this black and white work, the sign of Cancer unfolds outside the frame, like an instinctive and mysterious force that escapes imposed limits.
The crab, stylized and adorned with tribal motifs, embodies the protective power and deep sensitivity of this water sign.
At first glance, the composition appears to be drawn in black and white, playing on contrasts and the graphic strength of the lines. But, true to my approach, the color is diverted:… it is discreetly revealed on the edges, invisible at first glance, like an intimate truth that is only revealed to those who take the time to observe.
The number IV affirms belonging to the ASTRO series, where each sign is revisited through a personal visual writing, mixing symbolism, relief and creative freedom.
A work that illustrates both the duality and inner richness of Cancer: protective and secretive, but deeply vibrant and colorful.
