About this artwork
In this work, I use a mix of collage, charcoal, ink, and reclaimed objects to explore the intersection of Expressionism, Impressionism, and Surrealism. Each element, meticulously chosen and positioned, tells its own story, but when combined, they create a complex and emotional visual narrative about memory and identity. The vivid colors and tactile textures invite reflection, bringing vibrant energy and unique character to any space.
In this piece… I added the main objects recovered from scrap metal: a hand drill, a part of a rusty engine that I adapted to a lamp, as well as another round part that I made into the sun, remains of electronic devices and the leftover metal from a parasol that I transformed into architectural supports and clotheslines.

Paula Garnett, painter, sculptor and conceptual artist, developed in an artistic environment between Brazil and Portugal.
