About this artwork
Against a magenta background splattered with blue liquid paint, a bright yellow disc with a central perforation is cut out. The effect is such that it appears to be a light projection illuminating only the blue paint drips, not the magenta background. Technically, this effect is impossible to achieve spontaneously. It requires painstaking manipulation, manually and systematically painting over each drop of blue with yellow paint.
