About this artwork
The title is taken from Christian doctrine and means "the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit." Here, it's used ironically to represent a whimsical form in its three dimensions: as a line (the red line as a single dimension), as a plane (gray or two-dimensional), and finally, the support or canvas, which has volume and therefore three dimensions. The line, the plane, and the three-dimensional support all have the same shape, though different sizes,… and all three rotate, seeking points of contact or tangentiality.
Pedro Mora Frutos primarily uses acrylic on canvas and printmaking techniques such as woodcut, lithography, and pochoir. He trained at the University of Seville and has over 45 years of experience participating in numerous solo and group exhibitions. His style explores geometric and organic abstraction, fusing opposing currents in visually captivating and rigorously formalist pieces. His works invite a purely sensory and contemplative experience, evoking a profound aesthetic fascination and appealing to perception free from prejudice and external distractions.
