About this artwork
The form of artificial eye lashes are used to express the sometimes extravagant large lashes some girls wear. This portrait is painted in shades of bright blue which contrast with the orange, giving the eye lashes something grotesque. The artwork is mainly painted with a brush, but for some accents a spatula was used.

The images are always figurative but due to the usage of colourful planes and accentuated lines they sometimes give an almost abstract outlook.
