About this artwork
This work looks at the figure in a different way. The figure is broken down to it's basic parts, arms legs hands feet, torso and face. The painting took its cues from the original stamp and then added color to enhance the image. The image is quite strange and that was why I picked it because it stands out. The center of the flowers were cut out from an old abstract painting and then glued to this new one.

Peter Locascio is an American artist whose works have been widely exhibited in the United States. He believes that creating art is more of a spiritual journey than a materialistic one. Locascio's compositions are inspired by Aboriginal, Native American, and Hindu art forms, etc. While some of his pieces convey narratives, others are simply whimsical.
