About this artwork
This painting was created during a life drawing session in my studio. A reflection of the low sun created an "angel's wing" effect behind the red-haired woman on the wall.
The room had an almost mystical feel. That spontaneously made me reach for my pencil and acrylic paints – and instead of a nude drawing, I painted this portrait.
