About this artwork
This sculpture embodies my exploration of the contrast between rigidity and fluidity. The textured wood, painted a vibrant blue, interacts with the black metal structure, evoking a fragile yet powerful balance. I wanted to convey an energy of contemplation and audacity, inviting reflection on presence and form in space. My creation brings a dynamic and surprising vibration to your environment.

Philippe Berthot is a visual artist whose career has been shaped by international training. Here are some important dates in his career that he likes to highlight: In 2002, one of his paintings was sold and subsequently exhibited at the Montreal Museum of Contemporary Art, following various artistic experiences in the Caribbean. In the 2010s, after settling in Nice and working as a designer in Morocco and Macedonia, he was accepted into the Association of Visual Arts at UNESCO, which allowed him a cultural exchange with Japan, among others. For 30 years, he has explored various mediums. Today, he primarily works with charred wood and gold leaf, blending design and artistic practices. He experiments freely in his studio, merging art, nature, and the animal world with a touch of humor and poetry. His unique style elevates materials, seeking to illuminate and poeticize each person's living space.
