About this artwork
An olfactory artwork whose function, with its removable cartridge, is to be recharged with perfume thanks to its ceramic support.
I created this sculpture to convey intense energy, blending the raw power of acrylic red with the textured depth of cracked wood. The gold-leaf-covered frame adds a precious light, accentuating the contrast between raw material and refinement. This piece invites you to feel passion and power, ready to energize the space… where it is displayed with the fragrance of your choice, like a vibrant pulse on a wall.

Philippe Berthot is a visual artist whose career has been shaped by international training. Here are some important dates in his career that he likes to highlight: In 2002, one of his paintings was sold and subsequently exhibited at the Montreal Museum of Contemporary Art, following various artistic experiences in the Caribbean. In the 2010s, after settling in Nice and working as a designer in Morocco and Macedonia, he was accepted into the Association of Visual Arts at UNESCO, which allowed him a cultural exchange with Japan, among others. For 30 years, he has explored various mediums. Today, he primarily works with charred wood and gold leaf, blending design and artistic practices. He experiments freely in his studio, merging art, nature, and the animal world with a touch of humor and poetry. His unique style elevates materials, seeking to illuminate and poeticize each person's living space.
