About this artwork
This is a set of five paintings (see "additional images"). Each piece is 30x48 inches, so, if hung piece to piece, it is 20 feet long. However, it can be broken into pieces - for example, 4 pieces in a row and one around a corner from the others. This is an abstraction based on drawings of the human body. It depicts day into night and season into season. At the bottom of the work there is a highway with traffic, moving from light to dark and Spring…

Phil Dynan is an American painter and sculptor who has exhibited his works throughout the United States and the United Kingdom. With a career spanning over 50 years, he has experimented with varying styles and mediums. Having mainly used serigraphy and acrylics in his art, he now paints using water-based oils, which facilitates blending. Dynan also creates mixed-media sculptures made from birchwood and plaster.
