About this artwork
Dreams drift in and out, even during the day. Some dreams seem familiar, others are alien. The artist wonders "What will be for dinner?" Obviously, something colourful and tasty. This work is part of the "Cat's Mind" paintings that the artist has been doing for about 55 years. Some aspects of the paintings have deep meaning, others are simply fantasy. This is a study for a large painting on canvas.

Phil Dynan is an American painter and sculptor who has exhibited his works throughout the United States and the United Kingdom. With a career spanning over 50 years, he has experimented with varying styles and mediums. Having mainly used serigraphy and acrylics in his art, he now paints using water-based oils, which facilitates blending. Dynan also creates mixed-media sculptures made from birchwood and plaster.
