About this artwork
In a fast moving world where we are constantly bombarded with information and images there is sanctuary and peace to be found in the stillness of the natural world.
Every morning I walk my dogs up and down the adjoining lane, passing through a crowded avenue which changes according to going or coming back.
The tarmac covered road passes through this green tunnel and although an important marker of way is only a shadow alongside the complexity and… diversity of tree forms.
A solid bronze disc turning on a composite base to show the distinctly different views on each face.. Bronze remains natural, subjected to a translucent patination, or painted.
A monogram signature and unique number are stamped onto the edge of the bronze disc, unseen at the base.
