About this artwork
What was in the artist's mind was clear but he does not share much of his original thoughts. Being motivated by shape, natural bronze and colour he prefers to leave it to the viewer to make their own connection.
Made in solid sand-cast bronze the raised pattern on the face is painted whereas on the reverse a different pattern shows natural bronze. The creator had in mind a front and a back but the sculpture turns freely on the scorched oak base,… allowing the viewer to choose any angle or face that suits their own perspective.
