About this artwork
Looking at the twisting form and contemplating its origins can engage the onlooker in experiences and memories.
The title presents a clue as to the emotional importance of the piece to the artist but the different life of the sculpture lays in the mind and hands of any person who encounters it and adds their own interpretation.
Cast in solid bronze and standing on a circular oxidised brass base. One section of the twisting stem shows natural bronze,… polished and lacquered. The lunar crescents in different positions on each face of the disc are finished in pulverised metal leaf.
The sculpture embodies resilience and graceful endurance, bringing a dynamic energy to any space it inhabits
