About this artwork
Standing on a Herefordshire yew base is a randomly shaped piece of sea-washed Cornish slate on which is mounted a bronze arc with a natural bronze face embracing a charred piece of Herefordshire burr oak.
The various elements speak to the artist's heartfelt interests in places ,textures and colours. it is a piece for contemplation and additionally any interpretation that the onlooker wishes to place.
The back is functional making it ideal for a… shelf or other surface where it is the front view that commands attention.
All the elements are mechanically fixed so the sculpture is easily disassembled if necessary.
