About this artwork
With this oil painting, I have captured the dynamism of a zebra to celebrate its natural beauty. The realism brings the textures and shading to life, conveying both tranquility and strength. This work brings wild, authentic life into any room and serves as a reminder to appreciate the uniqueness of nature.

Credentials
- Works on commission
Philipp Schomaker is a self-taught painter and draftsman with a scientific background who has been working with oil painting and soft pastels since childhood. He works both with a meticulous attention to detail, using delicate lines and gradual color transitions, and more experimentally with a reduced color palette, inspired by Anders Zorn. His style oscillates between realistic depictions of nature and gentle interpretation. His works convey a deep connection to nature and make the emotional essence of animal and plant motifs tangible for the viewer.
