The pug (comes from the name of the comedian Carlo Antonio Bertinazzi) is a breed of dog originating from China and having existed in Europe since at least the 16th century. He is known as Pug (pug) in the United States, Brazil, Australia and England (because of his fist profile) and Mops (angry) in Germany and Russia. It belongs to the category of companion dogs and molossoids or molossers.
