About this artwork
I was on vacation on the island of San Pietro in Sardinia. I walked along a small path, until I found myself once I reached the end, wrapped in an embrace of intense scents. Cistus, wild rosemary and helichrysum drew a golden carpet that led me towards a breathtaking precipice. The sea, an immense canvas of blue, crashed with a roar on the rocks below.
In that moment I felt a primordial energy, an indissoluble bond with nature. The need to stop… that moment, to translate into colors the emotions that had overwhelmed me: the wind that ruffles my hair, the sun that kisses my skin, the intense scent of the Mediterranean scrub.
I hope that this painting is for those who look at it, an invitation to immerse themselves in a unique sensory experience, to find their own inner peace. It is a piece of me, a fragment of a soul that has found its serenity in the heart of nature.

« The result that I get through my painting is not reality, but my reality, what I see through my eyes. »
Piero Casarin is an Italian painter and sculptor whose works have been widely exhibited throughout Italy. Piero isn't content to simply represent reality objectively, but reworks it, sharing not just what he sees, but how he sees it.
Piero uses high-quality jute canvases, which he assembles himself, also performing the necessary treatments. For his sheet metal works, the material comes from farms in the Asolo area (Treviso, Veneto), purchased directly from local farmers. The shaped cardboard boxes are recovered from industries that use them to transport PVC reels.
His choice to paint on reused or self-prepared materials is fundamental: a focus on the ecological dimension of art.
It's time to dream and think about a brighter future. Don't hesitate to contact me for information on paintings you've seen in the past or would like to see in the future.
