About this artwork
In this 2022 work, I transformed the pictorial surface into a space traversed by signs, shapes, and presences that seem to belong to a single mental sequence. The image is not organized according to a stable composition, but rather as a dynamic field in which different elements emerge and overlap.
The human figure appears in the lower part of the work as a silent, faceless presence, almost an observation point within the scene. A constellation of… forms unfolds around it: chromatic arcs, graphic signs, linear structures, and pictorial masses that suggest movement, tension, and transformation.
The color works through contrasts: pink and red introduce an intense emotional energy, while grays and greens create a more material and unstable space. The numbers in the work don't function as simple annotations, but as traces of the work process: they indicate steps, sequences, and moments of intervention.

Pietro Daresta is an experienced artist based in Italy whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, in France, the United Arab Emirates, and Monaco. His works explore the themes of humanity and its frailties, the passage of time, and the observation of the universe, where everything is destined to change. In Daresta's most recent compositions, he has developed a more personal artisitc approach, moving from the sphere of minimalism and the conceptual towards the informal.
