About this artwork
“ Eightfolds” is a series of paintings started in 2016
It is a further development of the previous series, such as networks, integrals, manifolds, orbifolds /omnifolds .
In the "Eightfolds" series, I attempt to redefine, examine, and apply the various insights from the other series. Symmetries are created through lines and surfaces, coordinates and grids. The relationship between the surface and the spatial illusion and the concrete construction… of the image requires a symmetrical arrangement of the pictorial elements.
The quality and dynamics of the newly constructed spatial representations are subject to a linear structure.
Opening, condensing, closing, lining up, shifting, constructing, and developing spaces are just some of the functions with which I want to define the pictorial space in this series in order to discover new insights into the exploration of space.
