About this artwork
This is a completely unique and original abstract oil painting on canvas. This painting epitomizes a technique and aesthetic I have been working to perfect over the years. The colors are vibrant and alive and the texture is highly tactile and almost edible. The paint jumps off of the canvas at you and there is depth and structure to the piece. The colors invite you in and provoke you to touch them and the texture. This is one of my earlier "messy…
geometrical" abstract paintings. It is truly an original oil painting like no other.
Note: This painting is painted on canvas and does not come framed. However, the sides of the piece are painted as an extension of the painting and framing is unnecessary, but up to the preference of the collector.
This painting is signed on the front and includes my Certificate of Authenticity.

« I paint the light and darkness that lies within us all. »
Preston M. Smith is an exciting American painter whose works have been widely exhibited across the United States. Interested in construction and deconstruction, and always seeking to work in a state of pure emotion, he composes striking abstract paintings and inventive portraits that reflect order in chaos, beauty in madness.
