About this artwork
Moc Chau Plateau is located at an altitude of 1050m above sea level, 200km northwest of Hanoi. With beautiful scenery, beautiful roadside villages in the peach blossom season, plum blossom season or rape season, this place is considered the most beautiful in the Northwest highlands.
When spring comes, the Northwest highlands are also in the flower ban season. At the end of December, this place is filled with the yellow color of white canola flowers.… In the morning, white dew floats in the distance. Here the air is fresh and cool all year round, this place still retains the form of collective farm management of the previous generation in the North. An area with unique and beautiful soil characteristics, where mountains are interspersed with flat basins, green grass stretches to the horizon. Today, Moc Chau district, Son La province has become a very interesting and attractive destination for international and Vietnamese tourists.

Quan Le is an artist based in Vietnam whose paintings have been exhibited nationally. He is currently living and working in Hanoi. For nearly eighteen years of oil painting, he paints what his heart can feel, not what eyes can see. Most of them are in an exciting impressionist style, with a blend of cubism, expressionism and semi-abstract contemporary. The themes of landscapes, architecture and urban areas are simplified to a certain extent, leaving most of it for memory. For him, painting is when he digs up the chaotic and fragmented memories of his poor, rugged and destitute childhood to bring the viewers to another joyful world, a neverland, a memory of the season far away.
