This work is inspired by a storm, the painting is dominated by a range of gray tones that create an atmospheric sensation.
The texture of the work is rough and rugged, with deep cracks and jagged lines that represent the tumultuous energy of a storm. Colors and textures combine to create a sense of movement and chaos, as if the viewer is caught in the middle of a raging storm.
The darker gray tones at the top of the work are offset by lighter… ones at the bottom of the work, creating a feeling like dark clouds forming just before a storm. The overall effect is both ominous and exhilarating, as if the viewer is witnessing the brute force of nature at work.
