About this artwork
This piece from my SOIL series presents what looks like ancient script or primitive code - symbols that could be instructions, a formula, or a forgotten language.
On the left, hand-drawn marks blur into abstraction, raw and human. On the right, thick textured gesso cracks and splits like aged earth, with laser-etched text embedded below: "We are our choices."
The tension is immediate. The symbols promise meaning, maybe even "the answer," but remain… indecipherable. Are they human notation or machine logic? A message or just noise?
I layer fluid pigment with heavy texture, then burn language into the surface. The cracked gesso isn't decorative - it's time, erosion, the breakdown of certainty. The work suggests that answers don't arrive complete. They fragment, degrade, get overwritten. What remains are traces - part human gesture, part algorithmic residue.
We are our choices. But who's choosing?

He holds an M.A. in Philosophy and a Ph.D., and completed a painting certificate at Pratt Institute, New York. His work is held in the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest and the Museum of Peace in Vienna, and he was a finalist of the Nanjing International Biennale.
His practice appeals to collectors seeking contemporary painting with intellectual depth, originality, and a clear visual identity.
