« Everything is paradoxical in painting pictures on a wall, but how is one to escape the ever-present and abundant images around us if not by painting new, different images? »
Radu Tuian is a painter, photographer, and draftsman based in France whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Germany, Romania, Italy, and Austria. In addition, his art is featured in the permanent collection of the Irish Museum of Modern Art. He describes his artworks as being influence by his own life experience, shaped by being a migrant, moving from East to West, and of the "cultural layering" that is the sum of his current cosmopolitan identity.
