About this artwork
This work is based on six analogue diamond manipulations, digitized on Alu Dibond.
Aligned graffiti finds from Israel and the Palestinian West Bank,
revised with dye-glaze and paint color interventions. The superimposition of two written cultures that are illegible in Europe makes the work appear abstract to us. The title MEHNE (tekel) stands for the underlying unsolved problems in the Middle East.
The matt paint application on the 2mm thick aluminum… plate is sunshine resistant.
The work has an edition of 4 copies + an artist copy.
