About this artwork
I was playing with the idea of aliens landing on our planet. In most of the (Hollywood) stories they would not come in peace. Only a few tales tell the story of aliens coming in peace and that idea intrigued me. In my story they give us a change by flipping a pair of dices. 'You can't always throw sixes' I say a lot when things don't go as planned. But I am pretty sure that is the moment we throw double six.
Yeah this pure fantasy painted in a… very abstract way. I am obsessed with eyes, so yes, there are eyes looking back at the viewer. I also really like the contrast between the abstract, loose style of painting compared to the semi-realistic dices.
This painting is a bit milder it it's colors. I can create bold paintings, but this one is a lot softer. Easier on the eye and enough room for the viewers fantasy.
