About this artwork
In Transmission, I explore the idea that what we perceive as the self is only a fragment of a greater whole.
I see the figure as the soul itself—having a human experience—connected to a higher aspect of consciousness through an unseen link. The transmission represents that subtle exchange between these two states of being: a flow of awareness, intuition, and quiet communication.
Influenced by Art Deco aesthetics and classical portraiture, I use… structured form and controlled light to contrast with the intangible nature of the subject.
Through this work, I am interested in the space between the visible and the unseen, inviting the viewer to reflect on their own connection to something beyond the physical self.
