In this metal sculpture made of bolts, small engine parts, and sheet metal, I wanted to capture the raw energy of a being poised between balance and movement, boldly defying gravity. Each assemblage testifies… to a dynamic tension and an audacious freedom. Raphaële Jacob, after a career in advertising, now has twenty years of self-taught artistic experience. Employing drawing, acrylic spray paint, collage, and object assemblage, her art is reminiscent of Pop Art, with marked influences from comics.
