About this artwork
The Simpsons is an American animated television series integrated into my world of pop art. In this work, I sought to capture the jubilant and nostalgic essence of childhood through an explosion of bright colors and iconic objects from pop and vintage cultures. Using acrylics, collage and various objects, this painting is a tribute to innocence and imagination, encapsulating the message that growing up can be a trap, inviting us to preserve our inner… child. Each element, carefully integrated, evokes joyful memories and encourages an inner dialogue about the value of youth and fantasy in our adult lives.
With a burning passion for the eclectic assemblage of collage or various objects, I create a universe similar to an Ali Baba's cave, where each piece reveals a fascinating story and fuses elements with a skill comparable to that of a DJ mixing tracks to create a new melody.
Raphaële Jacob, after a career in advertising, now has twenty years of self-taught artistic experience. Employing drawing, acrylic spray paint, collage, and object assemblage, her art is reminiscent of Pop Art, with marked influences from comics. Her harmonious works integrate often overlooked everyday elements, transforming banalities into poetry and magic. The emotion felt in her art is a joyful delight, an invitation to give free rein to the imagination and dream of a different world. Raph participates in numerous exhibitions: Art shopping, Art3F, Expo4art, Imperial Palace Annecy, group exhibitions, etc.
