About this artwork
"Clover" is part of a series of work I created for my installation at the Philadelphia International Airpot which was on view from August, 2018 to April 2019. It was inspired by my ongoing love of mark-making, process, color, and texture. My intent with "Clover" was to create a work of art that conveys my visual vocabulary to viewers and evokes the joy I feel when creating it.

« The joy and process of creating visually compelling, abstract paintings and drawings; experimenting, making marks, and allowing myself to be affected by the visual information all around me, keeps me moving forward as an artist. »
Rebecca Jacoby is an American painter who has extensively exhibited in the United States. Although her art reflects colors that do not often appear in the natural world, the images in her compositions are inspired by the woods and mountains of New England. Jacoby's abstract style is conveyed through multiple mediums, which include acrylics, oils, ink, markers, pens, etc. She also incorporates elements of collage in her colorful artistic works.
