About this artwork
This work arose intuitively. It is playful, experimental, and primarily reflects the desire to simply create something a little crazy. The image is symbolic. Happiness, quite independent of external factors, can be a feeling of oneness with oneself, an almost childlike, euphoric state. It is not merely the joy of something. It is a feeling of completion, of wholeness.
My work isn't primarily created with the intention of selling it, but rather because… I have an urge or a desire to make it. That's why I sometimes use the backs or remnants of other works without hesitation. For example, I integrate torn or uneven edges into a new paper piece. The awkwardness and the handling of discarded material inspire me.
