About this artwork
This work is part of the cycle "On the Alpine Pasture" and is dedicated to the old rural traditions in the Alpine region, which are increasingly at risk.
In my painting I focused on expressing the deep connection and soul of two horses. Using oil paints and an expressionistic style I capture the intimate, almost human gaze between them. Their gaze reflects a silent communication that brings a calm but powerful energy to any room the painting hangs… in.
