About this artwork
In this work, I freely reinterpreted the classic sunflower theme, letting myself be guided by color and instinct. I chose a spontaneous and direct style, close to naive and expressionist, with touches of Art Brut. No superfluous details: just the vase and the flowers, with light shading to give shape and life to the subject.
I wanted to capture the simplicity and emotional strength of sunflowers with warm colors and essential lines.
It is a sincere,… emotional painting, which tells what I feel rather than what I see.
The use of acrylics promises energy and vitality, while the naïve style blends spontaneity and sincerity. Each flower vibrates with light, bringing warmth and joy, transforming any space into a sunny and genuine embrace.

I'm a self-taught painter, and what sets me apart is my free and instinctive use of color, which in my work is layered to create dense textures and crowded urban landscapes. I began with more spontaneous and light-hearted works, then evolved towards a more conscious and critical approach. At the same time, I explore abstraction with works inspired by Pollock and Rothko. My Cities are born from abstract foundations. The City as a complex organism that reflects the contradictions of our time. My series explore three great fragilities: the vulnerability of cities to climate change, the wounds inflicted by man through wars and manipulated ideologies, and the inequalities between glittering centers and forgotten peripheries. I paint universal, non-geographic cities as a metaphor for the human condition: places that bear the hopes, scars, and tensions of our time.
