About this artwork
In autumn, when the cold and long nights finally arrive, the arctic fire fox appears, brushing its tail against the frozen ground, the ice particles begin to rise, becoming the magical lights that flood the northern sky. .. It is then when humans have to be careful, because those lights are installed deeply and forever in our souls.
Fire fox, that's what the Finns call the Northern Lights (the Finnish word is Revontulet).
The theme of the northern… lights is especially magical to me and this ancient Scandinavian myth captivated me. That is why I wanted to represent a fox in the middle of a race (kinetic sculpture).
It belongs to my line of sculptures in which I work with wax modeling, without using the technique of fitting pieces, as in the previous cases.
Bronze on iroko wood base. Limited series of 10 pieces.
