STATICS IV – Countermovement describes a shift within the series STATICS.
The previously concentrated tension releases itself from its central point of compression and spreads out into the space.
The structure loses its coherence without losing its inner strength.
Textile fragments no longer appear as fixed elements, but rather as part of an open structure.
They mark zones where tension shifts and rearranges itself.
The reduced surface area… and the calcareous layering exacerbate this condition:
Tension no longer arises from mass, but from the relationship between proximity, distance, and emptiness.
A work poised between dissolution and stability.
