About this artwork
In this work, Rimp revisits a cartoon character from his childhood, Denver the Last Dinosaur. Usually cheerful and sympathetic, with a rock'n'roll attitude, we find him here exasperated, beside himself. This dinosaur who managed to survive a mass extinction finds himself in a world where it seems like history is repeating itself ... but this time around it won't be because of a meteorite.
Will man be able to meet the challenges facing him in order… to preserve a viable environment for future generations? Denver hopes so and he's not the only one.
The return to childhood heroes is also a return to nostalgia, recklessness. Invoking them to evoke contemporary issues creates a striking contrast between the world of childhood, lightness and the adult world with its responsibilities.

« An invisible canvas weaves links between all things, it is this idea that I want to develop through my artistic work. »
