This piece began as a textured exploration, built slowly through thick layers of acrylic paint. I worked the surface intuitively, not aiming for a specific subject at first. But as the forms emerged, I started to recognize the outlines of volcanoes, and with that, the entire mood shifted.
The painting took on a sense of vastness and weight, something dark, almost futuristic. It carries a foreboding energy, echoing the raw and unpredictable power… of nature. The heavy textures and deep tones add to the intensity, creating a landscape that feels both ancient and otherworldly. It is a place suspended in time, simmering with silent force.
