The male figure was chosen as a classically beautiful subject, his ken doll like features are reminiscent of a Pierre & Giles artwork or a Jean Paul Gaultier ad campaign image.
the model is embellished with queer references, the original pride flag is his backdrop-with its colours melting into one another, the model himself becomes part… of the icon as his shoulders disappear into the violet band which represents the spirit of LGBTQ people. A delicate red rose is held in his teeth, symbolizing the giving of one heart to another.
