About this artwork
As incredible as it seems, there is no color manipulation in this photo! Only the passerby's umbrella is "fuchsia" in color and everything else is immersed in the gray of days when it rains non-stop.
The scene takes place on rue Saint-Jacques, on the sidewalk which runs alongside the Louis-le-Grand high school.
I was hiding in my car, the windshield flooded with rain, with my photographic settings ready. I only waited for and captured passers-by… with colorful umbrellas.
The umbrella loses its shape and splashes fuchsia color into the air all around it.
