My work often begins directly in dialogue with the material: I apply textures with a palette knife, layer thick sheets of paper, and varnish glossy surfaces. Then ideas ignite, propelling me forward and opening up spaces for colors and forms. I capture these initial traces, amplify them, paint over them, tear them apart, and reassemble them. I remain alert, open, and receptive throughout the process—letting things happen, intervening, and continuing to shape them.
