About this artwork
What inspires me are the Primary Arts.
Originally there is nothing, this nothing is essential, it is not an idea and does not intellectualize, just a distant sensation that can fill me or disappoint me. They tell us a story, point of learned learning, just an overwhelming desire to participate in everything around us and encourages us every day to try to become what we may already be.
Hot-formed steel sculpture by hammering-welding-depositing… on the surface of Brass by brazing at high temperature.

« I hope that until the end of my life I will always feel this wonderful vibration that inspires me to set to work. »
Robert Vernet is a French sculptor who has exhibited internationally. Inspired by the female form Vernet is fascinated by the primordial Eve and seeks to explore the image of femininity throughout history and legend. As Vernet enjoys the tactile and immersive process of creation his artistic approach is to model, deform and crumple a range of materials from steel to brass and copper. The result he creates powerful and intriguing pieces with a captivating presence.
