About this artwork
When water crashes against the wind or the shore, it dissolves into a fine dust of suspended droplets. It loses weight, shape, and direction, becoming light, breath, movement. In that instant, it frees itself from matter to become emotion: light, transparent, traversed by time like a flowing thought.
In Flow, Crepaldi translates this metamorphosis into painting. The gesture becomes fluid, the material expands and thins, evoking the constant transformation… between strength and stillness, presence and absence. Like water, human beings also flow between reality and illusion, allowing every moment to become a reflection of themselves.

Roberta Crepaldi is a self-taught painter, trained in geometry and an artistic career that began in Venice. She uses oil and acrylic techniques to mix figurative and abstract art in an expressionist and gestural language, characterized by extemporaneous brush strokes and bold signs. With her landscapes of memory and fluctuating chromatic variations, Crepaldi expresses an interior vision halfway between dreamlike and direct observation, evoking emotions born from interactions with nature and the rhythms of life.
